Chongqing Art Museum – PR China
Projects / Public
The design submission for the Chongqing Art Museum was based upon a separation of functions into two blocks defining a new entrance plaza and extended garden. The enclosed, top lit galleries are composed to establish a memorable image at the freeway interchange by glazing the whole in translucent glass, whilst the stone clad administration and education wing parallels the steep topographical change of level and creates a secondary scale accommodating smaller spaces and engagement with the landscape.
