North Terrace Campus Lower Level Site Redevelopment - Adelaide University, Adelaide
Projects / Educational / Science & Research / Urban Design & Masterplanning
Following a limited design competition, MGT Architects(now GMB) were commissioned by the University of Adelaide to design and document a new $40 million, five-year expansion and renovation to buildings in the Lower Level Site precinct of the University’s North Terrace campus. The project has provided this portion of the campus with a New Molecular Life Sciences Building, and a New Engineering & Mathematical Sciences Building. Included in the project was a major upgrade of the services infrastructure for the precinct, the establishment of a significant landscaped space on the axis of the lawn area, and the design and co-ordination of significant renovations to other existing University structures within the area.
Guida Moseley Brown Architects has subsequently designed the new addition of a Proteomics laboratory completed in 2007.
