As part of a process of cleaning the lake through the proposed  closure of industrial sites, in 2004 we prepared a plan for a new residential precinct on the large freshwater lake in the Jiangsu Province. The plan utilized one of the connecting canals as the centre spine of the plan which supported a number of public open spaces, catering for visitors to the scenic “Great Lake”.

Waterfront walks, plazas, and recreational venues flank the canal, as well two pedestrian “piers” penetrate the lake to provide for special vistas of the lake and the surrounding landscape.
